Brand new music being premiered at Marsden Jazz Festival
Shirley Tetteh is a pivotal composer and musician at the epicentre of the global profile of the resurgent UK jazz scene. She is a key member of Nérija, Maisha and SEED Ensemble. Shirley’s solo leftfield/alt-pop project, Nardeydey, has had airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 6 Music.
Her new Songs and Expansions project brings together Shirley Tetteh’s jazz and alt-pop personas and explores tensions and overlaps between songwriting, electronic music production and jazz improvisation for a brand new six-piece live ensemble of collaborators.
