Description
Fraser Fifield is a virtuoso player of the traditional Scottish border pipes and low whistle – and the soprano sax. He can, says Jazzwise, blow the whistle like Charlie Parker and the sax like a Highland lament. The traditional/jazz elements are seamless. With Graeme Stephen (guitars) the music is lyrical and plangent with intricate interwoven improvisation.
