SUPPORT OUR £12K CHALLENGE

We urgently need your help to raise an extra £12,000 to prevent major cuts to this year’s Marsden Jazz Festival.

The festival made a significant loss last year due to a fall in income from sponsorship, donations and grants, and we’ve so far been unable to find a major business sponsor for our 2018 festival.

We managed to cover last year’s losses using our charity reserves but the festival will be unable to continue if we do the same again this year.

We therefore need to raise an extra £12,000 by Sunday 15th July to make sure up to 70 free gigs, the Saturday street parade and children’s workshops can all be included in this year’s festival.

We’re launching a 2018 festival fundraiser by expanding our Adopt a Gig scheme and asking festival-goers to consider becoming an adopter from £50 if they can.

Everyone who takes part in Adopt a Gig will be helping to support the free gigs and events at the festival. You can adopt a gig for yourself, as a gift for a friend or relative, or as an anonymous adopter.

We’re also usually able to claim an additional 25% on top of your donation from the government as part of the Gift Aid scheme as we’re a registered charity.

You can follow the progress of our fundraising campaign and make a one-off donation of any amount at www.mydonate.bt.com/events/marsdenjazzfestival2018.
