Meet the Team
Barney Stevenson, Artistic Director
Barney became artistic director in 2013 and was chair of the trustees for five years prior to that. Barney’s enthusiasm for jazz stems from his early teens. He studied music at The University of Manchester and previously worked at the Department of Health. Barney lives in Marsden with his young family.
Andrew Procter, Finance and Admin Manager
Andrew joined us in August 2021 and has over 20 years’ experience working in arts financial management across the North. He has been listening to jazz and playing saxophone since discovering Art Pepper, Lester Young and Scott Hamilton in the early 1980s. Away from music, he has had a book published about the history of his beloved Burnley FC – and he is also interested in football.
