Our festival committee meets regularly throughout the year to plan the next festival.

CAN I JOIN THE COMMITTEE?

Our committee members come from a wide range of backgrounds and interests. They have in common a love of a good time and a commitment to Marsden and to making music available to the widest possible audience.

WHAT’S INVOLVED?

Becoming a committee member means that you join Marsden Jazz Festival Limited (there’s a form involved… but it’s not long!).

Committee members attend meetings every two months to plan the next festival. As well as having your say over the content of the programme, you can get involved in any of the myriad of tasks needed to put on a festival. This could be helping with publicity and PR, t-shirt and brochure design and compilation, fundraising and applying for grants, discussing ticket prices and budgeting and many more.

Committee members are eligible to vote on decisions, elect trustees and to stand for election as a trustee. Trustees are the directors of Marsden Jazz Festival and are responsible for the festival’s governance and financial probity.
