Description

Yaatri blend complex composition and ethereal soundscapes to captivate the heart as well as the mind. Influenced by the emotive quality of the Scandinavian jazz tradition, the momentum of the rhythms of India and the energy of rock and roll, their music has a strong sense of purpose and journey. Assembled by guitarist and composer Liam DeTar, Yaatri consists of Bethany Herrington on vocals, Felix Bertulis-Webb on keyboard, Jona Tromp on drums and Joe Wilkes on bass, all students or alumni of the Leeds College of Music. Yaatri’s debut EP will be released in the autumn of 2019.
