Train Station Accessibility

Marsden Train Station is not currently considered to be accessible, especially for those who require wheelchair assistance or have mobility issues. We would recommend either travelling by car or bus into Marsden, or if you are coming by train, stopping at Slaithwaite which is a fully accessible train station one stop away from Marsden, and then getting a taxi.

Venue Accessibility

We endeavour to make our venues as accessible as possible, however please note that not all venues have wheelchair access.

  • Marquee on the Bridge
  • Bandstand in the Park
  • Parochial Hall
  • Dark Woods Coffee

The following venues are partially accessible (this means they may not have a lift, or they may have a few stairs up to the venue, but they do have accessible facilities):

  • Riverhead Brewery Tap
  • Hanson Musical Instruments
  • Peel One
  • St Bartholomew’s Church
  • The New Inn
  • The Railway Inn
  • The Shakespeare
  • Royal British Legion
  • Liberal Club
  • Marsden Band Room
  • Socialist Club
  • The Carriage House Inn
  • United Church
  • Coach House Healing Centre
  • Marsden Cricket Club
  • Zapato Brewery
  • No. 11 Station Road
  • Tunnel End Woods – accessible to wheelchairs via High Lea, through the gate using a radar key, however there are no disabled toilet facilities.

The following venues are not considered accessible:

  • Conservative Club
