The organisers of one of the UK’s longest established jazz festivals are searching for sponsors to help fund this year’s festival.
Marsden Jazz Festival celebrated its 25th year in 2016 and the charity is hoping the live music weekend can keep going strong for another 25 years with the support of the region’s businesses.

We are currently looking for professional traders who offer quality handmade or artisan products, and can bring something different to this well-established event.
The Market in the Park is held in Marsden Park, combines live music on the band-stand with unique artisan stalls, bar and entertainment.

We’re launching our 2017 Adopt a Gig scheme to help support the free gigs at this year’s festival and you can adopt one of our gigs for £50.

Double-bassist, improviser and composer, Dave Kane, has a clear vision of the higher path a serious musician must take: “You’re a searcher. You’re seeking something through creating music, by being a composer or an improviser. It’s a search for something and that search is the same as a spiritual practice: what is that thing, whatever it is you get a glimpse of, that other space where it’s very blissful? It’s there in all of us.”

An exceptional group of up-and-coming jazz musicians from Leeds, West Yorkshire have been awarded the opportunity to perform at a number of high profile jazz festivals across The North through the Jazz North Introduces scheme.
Wandering Monster, led by double bassist Sam Quintana, is the latest beneficiary of this pioneering mentorship and support scheme.
